Jewelry Care
Care Tips
Just a few helpful tips to keep your jewelry looking as good as ever!
Please, no swimming! Chlorinated pools can and will wreak havoc on your precious jewels, whether it's the stone or the metal. Any harsh chemical can react with porous stones (opals & turquoise to name a few) and can lead to discoloration and brittleness.
Where water is concerned... unless you are showering in filtered water (is anyone?), please take off your jewelry before jumping in. Most water contains some unknown minerals, chemicals, etc., that can cause metal and stone discoloration.
Avoid the gym! And any other strenuous activity, for that matter. Be mindful of your activities while wearing your jewelry. A bump here or there could lead to a cracked stone, a bent ring band, and a very sad you.
Beware of body oils, lotions, and moisturizers. Most of these contain oil and most stones do not love oil... stones and oil do not mix!
Cleaning
Not all stones can withstand ultrasonic cleaning!
Using mild soap and a soft toothbrush is always okay.
Avoid cream-based cleaners, use a jewelry-grade polishing cloth instead.
Warranty
All jewelry is made with sound craftswomanship and with proper care should last a lifetime.
Handcrafted jewelry should always be treated with extra care and tenderness. Yes, gold and silver are alloys that can last for millennia, but they are also easily susceptible to damage, both physical and chemical. See the Care Tips section for helpful tips and useful information to keep your jewelry looking fresh!
Jewelry that is received defective may be returned within 14 days of purchase. Necessary repairs will be made and the item will be returned to you. Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. Insuring the item for full value is highly recommended.
